AMG is the sport division of Mercedes Benz, acquired by the company in 1999, AMG vehicles are approved for sale by dealers and carry a full factory warranty on them just like a regular Mercedes Benz. AMGs primary function is further enhancing the design of Benz vehicles with special spoilering and interior features, and greatly enhancing driving caracter by upgrading the suspension and braking system of the vehicles. AMG is developing all the supercharged engines found in the late models. For the US market its natural to go to a Mercedes Benz dealership and order an AMG vehicle, however in Europe in the 90s if you wanted a specific AMG model ordered you would have to go to an AMG showroom.
