ALPINA - decided to use the 4.4 liter version of the N62 is it's charcteristics were better fit to equip the engine with a supercharger. The engine truly became a beast pushing 500 bhp and a whopping 516 ft pounds of torque.

Visual differences: include a new front-rear bumper, trunk spoiler the signature 21" Alpina wheels for the exterior;
on the inside differences are subtle but noticeable: a new cluster with blue background, the steering wheel is coming from a 5 series with ALPINA's added design and integrated shifter buttons, stitched leather seating.

Factory specs indicating a 4.8 sec 0-60 acceleration however real life tests prooved to be in the 4.4 second area, blasting through the quarter mile at just 12.8 seconds at 118mph.
Purchasing the fastest BMW 7 series was set at a base price of just over a $117,000.00
