3 Series Touring E91 Specs & Information


The BMW E91 3 series has a compact and sleek design since it was aimed for the executive market. It is sporty and powerful and at the same time offers greater practicality and superb handling. Although compact, the E91 is roomier and more comfortable than its predecessors. It also has an extended wheelbase of 2760 mm so both the rear and front passengers can enjoy an increased comfort.

for practicality, the E91 with the rear seats in place offers 460 litres and with 60:40 split seats folded offers 1392 litres. Compared with its predecessors, these are 25 and 40 liter increase respectively. All the models are fitted with six-speed manual gearbox or the optional six-speed automatic. It also has split opening tailgate, enabling small items to be loaded through the window. The luggage compartment covers also automatically moves upward for easy access. For additional security for item storage, it has an under-the-floor storage box. As for wet and dirty items, it has a watertight box on the boot floor.



The BMW Touring also has the same suspension components and chassis as the Saloon variant. All Touring models also have the DSC plus traction control system which gives it additional features than the usual DSC system. This ensures that the brakes work for faster emergency stops under any condition. It also has double-joint aluminium from axel for perfect balance and comfort. The five link rear axle also gives it perfect wheel guidance under all condition. And like the Saloon , the Touring has an almost 50:50 weight distribution.
